No more petitions, no more lobying. We need action now, we are tired of talking.
A message will be sent out to all of your friends and followers on Twitter, Facebook or Tumblr whatever you sign up with, and this is what it will read:
“We’re telling our prospective Government: We want mental health put on par with phsical health- NOW! #wordsdontcount“
There are more ways you can support the campaign too, please read on…
Use the Hashtag #wordsdontcount
If, like us, you are tired of words, please use the hashtag #wordsdontcount to let our government know that actions speak louder than words.
…We need to see investment, not cuts..
The big thunderclap event will happen on the same day as the first live debate, you can use the hashtag in the meantime to build up the momentum and share your voice!
Why not copy in the decision makers, you can reach them via twitter here:
Here’s an example of what we mean:
If you want to use the same template, just copy and past the text below:
Dear @Number10gov @DHgovuk @NHSEngland
We want mental health to be taken seriously and put on par with physical health
If, like us, you are tired of words, please sign up to the Thunderclap, by doing so you will become a change activist, together we become strong.
On April 2nd, 2015, at 8:00 AM GMT, we will speak out with one voice to demand that mental health is prioritised and placed (at the very least) on par, with physical health.
What is Thunderclap?
How does it work?
We encourage as many people as we can to sign up by visiting the Thunderclap website. It is easy and only takes a minute or two.
If we reach our supporter goal, Thunderclap will blast out a timed Twitter, Facebook, or Tumblr post to all contacts on our supporters lists, creating a wave of attention.
By signing up, you will become a supporter, all of your contacts will be sent one post at 8:00 AM GMT April 2nd, 2015. The message will be clear, this is the message that will be directed to the press office at No 10 Downing Street, the Department of Health and NHS England. Collectively we speak and tell our prospective Government that “Words Don’t Count”:
We’re telling our prospective Government: We want mental health put on par with physical health- NOW! #wordsdontcount
Please sign up to Thunderclap it, it takes a couple of minutes to do and Thunderclap will do the rest, by doing so you will become a change activist, together we become strong.
Please Remember, you can use the hashtag #wordsdontcount, anytime and help us build some momentum.
After signing up to thunderclap it, you can also send policy and decision makers the message that #wordsdontcount via Twitter at:
